• Introduced by Rep. Kevin Yoder (R) on March 3, 2010, in his role as committee chair, to empower a newly appointed state commission to reorganize all Kansas K-12 school districts every 10 years so that no district would have fewer than 10,000 students. The first such reorganization would have to be completed by January 1, 2011. The bill would also require the Kansas State Board of Education to enforce a detailed and uniform chart of accounts that every district must use in reporting their revenues and expenditures to the state.
